Always Look On The Bright Side

Small, spikey, quirky plants which don’t need much but will always give something back. Succulents, in this particular case a cactus, are plants for busy and forgetful people just like me.
If my kids wouldn’t water my plants every now and again, I won’t have any left.
If you have a painting of a plant, it’s even easier, as it doesn’t require watering.

This little 15x15cm canvas has a 3.5cm deep edge, so it can just stand on its side or be hung on the wall.

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
