Cactus with Bird

Art is fun and therapeutic, especially when you have a play and then work with whatever you have.
In this case a lot of blues, greens and purple. Add a splash of yellow and shapes and patterns.
Then decide what image you feel like. Cactus and bird was the feeling I got, so I went for it.

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
