Day At The Beach II

I am very likely to be influenced by my little daughters favourite colours (and toys: unicorns, mermaids, rainbows… you get the idea)

It is so hot at the moment, that I needed to paint something which doesn’t involve much blending as my paint was drying to quick for that.
I painted naïve landscapes before and enjoyed doing it. The pastel colour scheme was added to please my daughter as she spends a lot of her time in my studio.

The artwork requires framing and images are suggestions only.
The painting is on A3 size paper (42x29.5 cm) with a 0.5cm border for easier framing.

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
