I painted this background as an experiment and had it stashed away in a drawer for a while, not knowing what to paint on it. Believe me, that happens a lot with us artists, until one day, just like that, the idea pops into our head.
I draw/paint a lot of animals and have a thing for horns and antlers. Surrounded by so much loss due to the Coronavirus in recent months, it fitted to paint a skull rather than a ram.

Artist Bio
Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.
As a multidisciplinary artist, Laraโs artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.
Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
Lara enjoys opening her studio for visitors. Feel free to contact her, if you are in the Margaret River Region in Western Australia.
