Monstera Dreaming

After a long break three months break from creating due to burnout, and let myself be influenced by a recent workshop where the main focus was having fun and creating colourful backgrounds and patterns.
I added my Monstera, because it is in my studio and worked well with the flowery patterns and shapes underneath.

This artwork has got a lot of texture and patterns created with calming colours to add a relaxing atmosphere to your home.

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
