Peaceful Disturbance

This is one of those artworks, which just happen by coincidence. My partner Tony Tomkiw (Tonke) was not happy with his artwork removed the top layer. It was just standing in his workshop, waiting to be repainted when I spotted it and had my “vision”.
I added the swirls and some silver ink in the sky which worked nicely on the uneven ground. It feels atmospheric and moody.

The artwork has a sleek aluminium frame which enhances the silver shimmer in the sky and gives the painting the perfect finish.
A wire is attached to the back and it’s ready to hang.

Lara Louise Karpeljuk is an almost entirely
self taught award-winning artist who, only in recent years, found the time to explore and develop her skills further. She is forever expanding her expertise as she likes to explore new mediums, textures and colours.

As a multidisciplinary artist, Lara’s artworks range from loose watercolour paintings in an illustrative style over more realistic acrylic paintings to abstract artworks often influenced by Australian flora and fauna.

Her journey as an artist began by creating the most intricate black and white pencil drawings using mainly animals as her subjects. Nowadays Lara still enjoys working with pencils to create pet portraits by commissions.
