The bird depicted is a Gala Cockatoo , one of my favourite Australian species.
Painted in acrylic and finished with a protective varnish, the artwork features a metal leaf background that creates beautiful reflections as the light changes.
Subtle shades of light gold and turquoise emerge throughout the pattern.
I have worked extensively with this technique, following a precise gilding process to achieve the desired effect.
Each painting is provided with a certificate of authenticity and wrapped securely with bubbles layers and thick cardboard.
