The bird depicted is a yellow tailed black Cockatoo , one of my favourite Australian species.
It is painted with acrylic and finished with a protective varnish.
The background features metal leaf, which creates beautiful reflections under different lighting.
Depending on the angle, you can see shades of gold, blue, copper, and rust.
I’ve worked extensively with this technique, following a precise gilding protocol.
Each painting is provided with a certificate of authenticity and wrapped securely with bubbles layers and thick cardboards.
