Artwork Description

Ships rolled in a tube
Algue De Mer 2 is part of the Dune series, inspired by sand dunes and inlets, shells and rockpools. There is a companion piece Algue De Mer 1 - with a green khaki palette (it is a slighty larger artwork at 112cm wide).
.

This huge artwork ripples with metallic gold and layers of colours that have been built up in layer upon layer to give a translucence and to create the depth of looking through water into a rockpool with seaweed and rocks. There are areas of raised texture.
.
This artwork is painted on a high quality cotton and ships rolled in a tube - there is another listing if you wish to purchase it ready to hang - ships the next business day. https://bluethumb.com.au/laurie-franklin/Artwork/algue-de-mer-2-with-video-0

The colours are black, tan, khaki, dark green, olive, black, 2 shades of gold and white.
The areas of gold leaf have been sealed.
