This peaceful Alpine mountain scene is a delicate palette of greys, cream and white with hints of deep blue, light blue and blue grey create a soft snowy scene.

The areas of collage are silver or opaque and lend a depth to the scene.

This 2 panel artwork is textured and highlighted with charcoal, it has been sealed with varnish.

This large artwork is on wood and mounted on a wooden support. It is ready to hang.

A natural oak frame is suggested as a framing option, but a white frame would create a floating image and a dark frame will give the artwork a definite edge.

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
