Artwork Description

Ships in a roll unless stretching or framing is selected.
This large dreamy pale grey blue and dark brown abstract is inspired by rolling hills covered in Banksia trees, that make a perfect walk or run.

The colours used are a beautiful pale duck egg blue, a smokey grey blue, a soft beige and off white with accents of gold leaf showing the banksia trees, the very dark brown has a grounding influence on the soft tones.

This artwork is un-stretched and ships in a roll.
It measures 164cm x 112cm - to allow the painting to wrap around the stretcher.
It can be stretched or framed through Bluethumb or choose a local framer like Fantastic Framing or Mobile Framing that comes to you.

Acrylic, gold leaf, ink and charcoal which are sealed with a clear varnish.

Artist Bio

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
