This abstract landscape was inspired by the black sands of Iceland on a grey cloudy morning.
The river snaked silver into the cold sea. The colours are muted in a classic palette of glossy ebony black, a flat matte charcoal back, soft greys, crisp white and metallic silver. The sky is a soft pearl with layers of off white.

This artwork measures 116cm wide x 116 cm high, and the painting flows over the edge of the 3.5cm thick stretcher. It is ready to hang.
