Artwork Description

The unstretched size is 262 x 152 cm - allowing for a 6cm edge to stretch over a thick edge canvas stretcher or to be neatly framed.

Eternal Depth is part of the Dune series, depicting the coasts, sand dunes and rockpools around Australia. This artwork has areas of raised texture- like gilded ripples of water over the surface. This artwork is painted in a soft neutrals and greens with highlights of gold and burnished brass. Some of the many colours include tan, greys, sage green, light and dark ochres, dark green and black.

There are areas of painted "old gold" and metallic gold leaf that change in tone from bright gold to deep gold.

My practice involves sketching and painting en plein air, layering the washes of paint and charcoal as the sun makes it way through the sky and the shadows lengthen on the dune. The copper leaf highlights are the sun gilding rock-pools and flashing through the rocks.

This artwork ships in a roll - please your local framer or select a Mobile Framer who comes to you.
