This artwork is part of the Dune series traces areas of the coast.

This abstract landscape was inspired by the lush seaweed, swirling in rockpools and near the coast.
The sun shimmers on the surface in ripples of metallic gold.

This artwork has layers of dark forest green, a blue green, grey blues, lighter greens and metallic gold leaf. There are small areas of black and deep grey.

The artwork is painted in acrylic and with highlights of charcoal and small areas of metallic gold leaf that changes colour depending on the angle of the viewer.

It can be hung in either orientation.

The full unstretched size is 215cm x 114cm.
After stretching it will be approximately 203 x 102cm

The FRAMED preview show the artwork as 203 x 102cm and the artwork flows to the edge of the canvas .

The signature is on the front of the artwork.
This artwork is un-stretched and ships in a roll.

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
