Artwork Description

Gold Ridge Banksia is a large abstract landscape depicting banksia trees against a mountain ridge.
-
Metallic gold reflects the light through the trees, and the sky is soft textured shades of beige, warm grey and off white. The warm brown and light ochre of the landscape create a earthy palette that sets off the metallic gold beautifully.
-
The gold leaf will change depending on the light source. At some angles and in different lighting it will look more burnished gold and in other lights it looks like a shiny bright light gold.
