Gravitas is an abstraction of Paleobotany - fossil plants and flowers. It is part of the Dune Series.

In this huge artwork, several real fossils have been studied and included in shades of light beige, off white, ochre, soft terracotta, charcoal black and deep brown.

The full size of each piece is 274 cm x 144cm. Creating a 5.5m artwork in length with a 2cm gap and a larger artwork with a bigger spacing between the panels.

A small signature is visible on the RHS of the artwork and reverse of the artwork.
