Artwork Description

This artwork is un-stretched and ships in a roll- please select stretching through Bluethumb or call a mobile framer such as Mobile Framing or Fantastic Framing.
The full size is 212cm x 150cm so after stretching it will measure approximately 200x 138cm

Mica Light is inspired by the shimmer in the moonlight on water. The silver leaf gilding - like all shiny metals- glows and shimmers a bright silver in some lights and a darker gunmetal at other angles.

This painting also brings to mind sand dunes, ripples in the sea and deep pools of still water.

The paint has been built up in layers of colour - the shades are a periwinkle blue, dark blue, cornflower blue, black, purple and shades of grey.

There are areas of raised texture, layers of opaque and translucent paint to create a soft dreamy abstract.
