Artwork Description

This large artwork is highly detailed and textured, subtle washes of colour build up to create a striking statement artwork. View my WANDERER SERIES for similar pieces
Working with oil paint and layers of translucent tissue paper, oil pastels and charcoal - the colours of beige, brown, blue, navy, cream, tan and ochre build up to create a tactile mountain landscape.
I have worked on a wood panel - to allow my technique of scraping back paint, and allowing previous layers to show through - creating light, shadow and depth.

This artwork is created on thin wooden panel and will need to be framed.
It cannot hang without a frame.
The board is light and won't add much weight to the frame - the artwork would suit an oak, white or dark coloured framed
