Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

This series of artworks traces my journeys and interest in the Outback, the big skies and sometimes sparse yet exquisite landscape.
This artwork was based on an image up near Kings Canyon, where the sky seemed an impossible blue against the red earth. Shades of terracotta, ochre, gold leaf and charcoal are used in the landscape ( sealed with a clear varnish)
