Artwork Description

Silver Beige Wild is a huge study of native flora set against a marbled background of creamy beige and soft grey.

Using acrylics in an almost black , grey blue and grey - layers in washes of colour with highlights of metallic silver leaf, periwinkle grey blue and gray pastel and black charcoal.

The metallic silver highlights the entire artwork and will change depending on the light and angle of the viewer.

This artwork is unstretched and can be stretched by Bluethumb's stretching and framing service or by your local Mobile framer.
The full size is 215 x 110cm and the final dimensions will be approximately 200 to 204cm high x 100cm wide.
The height can be adjusted when it is stretched if you are wanting it under 2m high.

Artist Bio

Australian artist Laurie Franklin (b. 1981) is an established, internationally collected painter known for her layering of paint and mixed media to create tactile works ranging from mountains, seascapes to florals and abstracted forms.

Laurie has sold 1000s of artworks since starting painting in 2002, artwork is displayed in hotels, restaurants and held collections in over 20 countries. Past hotel projects have included 200m of hand painted wallpaper and hundreds of original artworks for hotel suites.

Based in Melbourne, Australia she works from a large studio space allowing several artworks to be worked on simultaneously. She travels and undertakes Art residencies around the world, the changing scenery influences her unique approach to capturing the intrinsic character of the landscape . Her gestural style, tight color palette and use of metallic elements create tactile, intriguing artworks.
