It's An Orangey Sky

In the studio I was listening to the song by the Cars 'Bye Bye Love". One of the lyrics in the song is 'It's An Orangey Sky". That conjured up images of tropical nights on holidays, drinking cocktails while watching the sunset. With that idea in my head I created this painting. This original oil painting is Framed in a tassie oak floating frame.

Hello, welcome to my create world. I am a mad painter, I paint almost everyday. When I create my works I have the intention to evoke an atmosphere no matter what the subject matter is. In a landscape I want to capture perhaps, the time of the day through light and shadow or the feeling of an oncoming storm. If I am painting a figureative work I want to convey a feeling; nostolgia, introspection, or fun and joy.
