Artwork Description

My grandmother' was a dress maker with her studio walls decorated with fashion illustrations from the 1920’s to 1940’s. These illustrations that were drawn by her sister started my delight in nostalgic imagery. I remember in particular a colour drawing, that inspired this painting, of a lady in a bathing suit with this cute little haircut.

Hello, welcome to my create world. I am a mad painter, I paint almost everyday. When I create my works I have the intention to evoke an atmosphere no matter what the subject matter is. In a landscape I want to capture perhaps, the time of the day through light and shadow or the feeling of an oncoming storm. If I am painting a figureative work I want to convey a feeling; nostolgia, introspection, or fun and joy.
