"Billabong with reeds" is an original oil painting by Laurine Field. It depicts a waterhole in the Mt Coot-tha Forest Reserve, Brisbane. The waterlillies are a beautiful sight in a peaceful setting. Reflecting the colour of the sky, the water is a deep purple blue .
I enjoyed capturing this scene because it is the turnaround point of my regular bushwalk. The painting honors a beautiful view that you might not be aware of if you were walking fast. A meditative expression of nature connection.
