Artwork Description

In this original painting by Sydney artist Leni Kae, the Black Cockatoo symbolises spiritual joy, strength and confidence. Following it’s call to the spirit means finding your way to a renewed sense of creative being, authenticity, and ultimately self-empowerment. The Australian native bird is pictured flying with outstretched wings, symbolic of reaching new heights. Black and indigo tones portray definitive strength, with highlights of yellow and soft coral tones symbolic of a joyful spirit.

Watercolour, Acrylic and Ink on 425gsm paper. Requires Framing. Frames pictured are for example purposes only.

This painting is from the series titled “Animal Spirit”, incorporating a fluid style to represent a selection of animals. It asks viewers to look beyond the image animal portrayed; it asks them to feel its spirit through the movement captured by the fluidity of paint and linework.
