“I’ve often imagined, that embedded within the light of our spirit, are all the colours of the rainbow. A rainbow lorikeet entered my life and influenced this beautiful piece. This native Australian bird is full of playfulness, energy and joy, and this is most certainly reflected in the glorious colours of its feathers. I couldn’t resist painting it with drips of colourful paint - like it is flying and splashing in the energy of joy itself. Painted here with outstretched wings, it symbolises embracing a spirit of heartfelt optimism, joy, adventure, exploration. “ - Leni Kae

Leni Kae is a Sydney-based Australian artist and author whose work explores the relationship between nature, symbolism, perception, and inner awareness.
Her work spans expressive bird and Animal Spirit paintings, abstract landscape art, Greek mythology inspired art and contemporary symbolic works created through layered acrylic, watercolour, ink, and mixed media. Using fluid movement, luminous colour, and intuitive mark-making, her paintings investigate themes of awareness, connection, atmosphere, and inner experience.
