Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the front.

"Painted in response to isolation, this artwork is a glimpse into the beauty of the ‘everyday’ and what constitutes ‘freedom’. Freedom lies beyond physical space and external factors. The beauty of soaking in life’s simple pleasures and rediscovering a sense of escapism through our internal world is something I hoped to capture.

The artwork features an abstract nude sitting by the window reading. Free in her nudity, and escaping through her book, "freedom" is very much the theme in this portrait. It features a life model based in London who conducted her modelling via Zoom and social media, a testament to current times and discovering new opportunities in spite of limitations. " - Leni Kae
