"THE ANSWER MY FRIEND IS...."

Wandering around the Aussie High country l came across the amazing plant called Salsify. It's a root vegetable similar to parsnips that grows up to 1.5m high and has a purple flower. When it goes to seed it's like a giant dandelion head but about 10cm in diameter with each seed about 1cm long. It's truly beautiful to see them drifting along on the wind.

I am a country girl stuck in the Big Smoke. I was a Commercial Artist for many years before computers took over the world. I started exhibiting my work in 1994 in Regional Exhibitions and won many awards before moving to Sydney in 1999.
