Sometimes when you are inspired you must embrace the chaos around you. I had wanted to paint a Gouldian Finch all day and I just could't find the time. So late one afternoon whilst my studio space was occupied by four children playing happily and while I had dinner on the stove I painted this one. Some days I can shut off all that is around me and get lost in a painting, even if I do have to get up every ten minutes and stir the spaghetti and answer questions to young curious minds :) Other days I need solitude and quiet to create.

This little finch is painted on a deep edge stretched canvas, with black painted sides, it comes sealed in a satin finish, signed and ready to hang.
