Mix Tape

We were away the last week camping and talking to a couple we met about how easy it is now for kids to access music and all those things now and how when we were younger you sat and listened to the radio until your favoutrite song came on to record it and if you didn't get it just right then you would sit and wait again. Anyway this is my first painting back from holidays and I felt inspired to paint a cassette tape.

Painted on deep edge stretched canvas, sealed in a satin finish, signed and ready to hang.

I am an artist based in Wollongong, NSW, I grew up here between the mountains and the sea. My passion lies in painting with bright and bold colours, Australian native animals, especially birds make up a lot of my inspiration, though I also like to explore flora and still life subjects. I like to accentuate the hints of colour I see within my subject matter. I love painting with a palette knife and I use mainly acrylic paints on stetched canvas.

I love to add texture to the canvas with deliberate strokes that give the subject matter definition without it always being obvious. I am a full time artist working from my home studio on the South Coast. I find great inspiration from daily beach and bush walks and I can't imagine a life where I was not able to be creative everyday, and I feel truley blessed to be on this journey.
