I must admit I was not aware that there were birth flowers for the months of the just like there is birth stones. I was looking for inspiration yesterday and I cam across birth flowers, my Birthday is coming up in early September so I looked up what my birth flower is and it is Aster. Asters are reminiscent of a daisy, the aster is named after the Greek word for ‘star’ and, if you look at the shape of the flower, it’s clear to see why.

Once I saw some images of these flowers I knew they would be my next painting. Heading into September already with my Birthday not far off and knowing no celebrations will be had with our current situation in the world, it just doesn't feel real. Hopefully next year for my 40th we will be able to celebrate twice as much to make up for it.
