Surreal Scene

I was feeling a little unispired so Idecided to spin ideas on wheels and I had to incorperate those things in the painting. Please be sure to scroll acroos to the youtube video where I talk about my ideas and show a video of the finished product and some steps along the way.

The things I drew from the wheel were, shark,lion, lumberjack, archaeologist and fishing.

Painted on a deep edge stretched canvas with matching painted sides, signed and ready to hang.

I am an artist based in Wollongong, NSW, I grew up here between the mountains and the sea. My passion lies in painting with bright and bold colours, Australian native animals, especially birds make up a lot of my inspiration, though I also like to explore flora and still life subjects. I like to accentuate the hints of colour I see within my subject matter. I love painting with a palette knife and I use mainly acrylic paints on stetched canvas.

I love to add texture to the canvas with deliberate strokes that give the subject matter definition without it always being obvious. I am a full time artist working from my home studio on the South Coast. I find great inspiration from daily beach and bush walks and I can't imagine a life where I was not able to be creative everyday, and I feel truley blessed to be on this journey.
