I love to work with flowing inks, its one of my favorite things. I also can't help but add line work and fine details. But the detail can take many hours with a thin brush, until I found the fine line applicator bottle. So much easier to draw those details in. It made making this painting such a joy!
The color choice of this one came from looking at humming birds and their very shiny and colorful feathers.
I called it 'In Flight' because the feathers feel like the sound and movement of the birds wings. It feels like it could fly right off the page.
