I’ve been missing my family and friends back home in Sydney, and every time I think of them I’m reminded of those moments when we came together to celebrate something special and cake would always make an appearance. I can’t remember how many flavours I’ve devoured over my 30 years on this planet, but I do remember the feeling of love and happiness that came from sharing a slice with loved ones.

This isn’t just a painting of pretty cakes. It’s a symbol of love and celebration, and of the people we gather with and cherish through cake.

Lisa is an Australian Artist currently based in San Francisco. Lisa's artistic focus is on capturing life’s everyday moments, portraits, and still life. Her painting technique is often likened to "stained glass" due to the distinctive separation of colours. She finds this method of painting to be exceptionally therapeutic as she carefully builds up each colour individually. Her current painting style originated from her illustration work, which she has transformed into her signature style.

Her inspiration comes from a wide variety of sources, including everyday moments and objects, nature, and women. Through her painting, Lisa aims to remind herself to appreciate the simple beauties in life and to bring joy to those who discover her work.
