This piece continues on from my earlier 'Chapters of Life', inspired by the many moments of life, and heavily influenced by the colours of a summer sunset over water and Lana Del Ray's beautiful song 'Summertime Sadness' that I listened to while working. Each step builds the story and each square represents a new chapter of life. Rather than cover up or hide the flaws, I have highlighted them intentionally with gold detailing to show that when you step back and see the full journey of your life you will see that these are not flaws at all, but a cohesive, complex and unique picture to be celebrated.
This piece is a full canvas grid of blue, teal, red ochre and yellow gradients. The sides are painted in mid range teal so that it can be hung with or without framing, however this piece does come framed in sustainable Australian Oak.
Pictured hung vertical next to 'Chapters of Life'.
I have signed the back only so that it can be hung landscape or portrait, depending on the space and mood.
