Rain has such an influence over the Australian bushland enhancing the colours of bark and leaves making way for new growth. This painting was influenced by that very thing. The bark of a grey gum changes to the most beautiful salmon and silvery grey before falling to the ground in strips and the leaves become such a strong and delicious red. On my daily walks I am drawn to this beauty and just had just had to capture it.
