Roses are my favourite flower and I always enjoy capturing their beauty in watercolour. This particular piece was painted in the Grisaille method using grey undertones to set the in shadows then enhanced with colour to bring out the best in the rose. For The Love Of Roses (3) comes with a stunning green timber frame (with a hint of gold edging) and mounted behind acid free mat board and glass.
Mother Nature is the true artist and I aspire to capture some of her beauty in my work. I also love the freedom and individuality of creating something meaningful - be that to sooth my own soul or for each person I paint for!
