Artwork Description

Held, Not Arranged explores the quiet intimacy of care — the difference between something carefully composed and something gently held. Painted intuitively, the bouquet emerges through loose, expressive brushstrokes rather than formal structure, allowing emotion to guide form.
Soft blush pinks, creamy whites and muted blues rise from a luminous, atmospheric ground, creating a sense of tenderness and presence. The flowers feel gathered by feeling rather than design — imperfect, vulnerable, yet deeply grounded.
This work reflects my ongoing interest in emotional memory, fragility, and the beauty that exists when we allow things to be as they are. Painted on a 61 x 61 cm gallery-wrapped canvas with crisp white edges, the piece is designed to sit effortlessly within contemporary interiors while offering a quiet moment of reflection.
