Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed certificate of authenticity.

Pitter Patter represents the little footsteps of the indigenous children trying to find their way back home after being taken from their Mother's for supposedly their own good. There are fence posts one third of the way representing the rabbit fence which they know if they follow it, it will lead them home.

This gorgeous painting was done intuitively choosing bright citrus colours that make me feel warm and happy. Layers of mark making give this piece lots of texture and depth while still creating movement.
I paint almost every day as part of my healing journey. My aim is to bring a bit of peace and joy into people's homes.

The painting continues around sides, top and bottom. This piece has been in an exhibition for 6 weeks during September and October 2023 at the Hawthorn town hall gallery healing Exhibition
