Artwork Description

This painting began with an instinct rather than a defined image. I wanted to explore what happens when softness and uncertainty are allowed to coexist with colour, movement and darkness.
As the layers developed, pale forms began to emerge almost like petals, fragments of landscape or fleeting figures. I resisted defining them too clearly. Instead, I allowed the marks to remain ambiguous, letting one form suggest another and allowing the viewer to decide what they see.
The darker area at the top became an important part of the painting. Against it, the lighter forms seemed to gather strength and movement, creating the feeling of something emerging from shadow into light.
For me, the work speaks about those moments when we cannot yet see exactly where we are going, but something beautiful is nevertheless beginning to take shape.

Painting is extended around the sides so an external frame is not necessary
