Vintage Cutlery on steel plate with ruby glass bowl. Garnet and solver hues. Painted quickly and expressively to capture the mood of the evening light on the metal and glass.Three plums scattered on a white cloth- one in vintage pyrex bowl bought in Braidwood. The beautiful afternoon sun hits the bowl and the fruit giving depth, accent and enhancing the deep alizarin hues of the plums. Deep warm hues of sunset over Auckland (in the distance) hits the peak hill on Waiheke island sending warmth in to the shadows deepening in the valley below. Water lilies in silver jug, on striped cloth.
