mixed media on arches paper, ready to frame as desired, I began creating this series of mixed media works to incorporate another layer to the ink faces I am known for on vintage book pages, I begin with an expressive ink face on stark white pages and build up layers of graphic almost street art like imagery over the top, using collage elements, ink, pen, pencil, chalk, pastel, gouache, stamps, writings, stickers whatever I feel the work needs or asks of me.. these works are very popular with collectors and are held in private, public and corporate collections throughout the world. Over 300 of these works now make up an ongoing series. I was commissioned to create works in this mixed media style for the Boutique Art Hotel refit ''Hotel Eastlund'' that opened in June 2015 in Portland Oregon USA.. Jover artworks were used to create the specially designed glass lobby feature wall, soft furnishing headboards within the suites and prints within the rooms.
