A visit to the South Western part of France, in the 1990’s, left me with so many inspiring landscape ideas. The avenue of trees around The Canal du Midi has been a subject to which I return with regularity, The dreamlike tranquility of the Canal winding through the landscape will forever be etched in my mind. I hope to get back to the area one day again to experience the beautiful area which so many of my Hugenot ancestors called home in the 1500’s.
