Artwork Description

There are places that stay with us long after we’ve left them. Sometimes it’s the scent of the sea carried inland on the wind, sometimes it’s the endless movement of cloud across an open sky. Those quiet memories have a way of calling us home.

And The Winds Carry Me Home was inspired by the ever-changing Australian coastline, where shifting skies, distant horizons and the rhythm of the sea create a landscape that feels both familiar and timeless. Layers of soft cloud drift across the sky above the water, inviting a moment of stillness and reflection.

It is a painting about belonging, memory and the quiet pull of places that remain part of us, no matter how far we travel.

Created in oil on canvas, this original Australian tree painting is ready to hang and accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity.

Artist Bio

Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.

Working primarily in oils, Lucinda creates original landscape paintings shaped by memory, light and the quiet tension of changing skies. Her work often features clouds, trees, open land, distant roads and weather-filled horizons, sitting somewhere between realism and abstraction.

A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Lucinda has painted for many years and has exhibited widely, with work held in private collections across Australia and overseas. She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.

Her paintings are created as one-of-a-kind originals, with no prints or reproductions. Each work is developed slowly through layers of oil paint, colour, atmosphere and feeling, offering collectors a quiet place to arrive within the landscape.
