I have never been fond of painting flowers, I always thought they were for sissies, but now I can't seem to get enough of them. I never knew what type of flower they were either - apparently you really are never to old to learn! These lovely blue numbers are delphiniums, I know, I looked them up. Previously they would have been blue pointy flowers. Loved the colour and thought with a few touches of bright orange to complement the blue they'd look great!
If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will work for you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours. You can now email me directly, straight to my inbox and we can discuss what you would like.
As with all of my works, this is an original and a one of a kind, I do not make prints from any of my works.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork – archival, quality paper for my watercolours, pastels and drawings, well prepared supports for my oil paintings and both are painted using artist quality pigments.
All pieces are available framed if you would like, consider using the Bluethumb framing service.
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled (I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, I am still losing the war with the tape machine so the package may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.

Artist Bio
Lucinda Leveille is an accomplished semi-realist artist whose diverse body of work primarily focuses on two main mediums: oils and watercolour. This year, she earned notable recognition as one of the Top 50 Artists in 2025 on Bluethumb, an emerging talent that art enthusiasts are encouraged to watch closely. Her prominence in the art community was further solidified when she represented Bluethumb at the inaugural Affordable Art Fair in Brisbane in 2024, a testament to her growing influence and appeal within the contemporary art landscape.
Lucinda's artistic practice is deeply rooted in series-based exploration, where she draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of elements, such as unique colour palettes, distinct geographical locales, literary narratives, and the varying moods that come with the changing seasons. A central motif in her artwork is the horizon line, which often serves as a symbolic anchor, imbuing her pieces with a timeless and solitary essence. Through this lens, Lucinda invites viewers to contemplate their place within the landscape she creates.
In her thematically rich series like The Road Series, she intricately explores the nuances of the human experience, pondering on the journeys and paths we traverse, both physically and metaphorically. Similarly, in Exploring The Solitary, her work reflects on themes of isolation and introspection, capturing the quiet moments that characterize the human condition. In her evocative Songs Of The Sea series, inspired by the Land Sea Sky Exhibition, Lucinda beautifully encapsulates the essence of coastal landscapes, portraying the delicate relationship between land, sea, and sky.
Lucinda's series Above The Canopy is a particular highlight of her oeuvre, drawing inspiration from the vivid hues of the Australian landscape and the resilient gum tree that stands just outside her studio window. In this series, she skillfully depicts the delicate beauty of trees and clouds, allowing each piece to resonate with the intricate details of the natural world. Her latest series, The Music Of The Night, shifts the focus toward the enchanting and often mysterious beauty of the night sky. Here, the dynamic interplay between light and dark is paramount, with clouds both obscuring and revealing stellar elements, creating a captivating visual experience that evokes a spectrum of emotions. The overall mood of these paintings is typically calm, yet laced with an underlying tension that elicits feelings of mystery, solitude, and awe in the presence of nature's quiet power.
Lucinda’s artistic philosophy centers on storytelling, with each piece narrating a tale of her environment, her life, and her personal journey. Her watercolour creations exude vibrancy and joy, showcasing her playful experimentation with a broad range of colours and materials. In contrast, her oil paintings delve into deeper introspection, probing fundamental truths about humanity and our intricate relationship with the world around us.
“When I’m painting a landscape, I physically feel I’m there—I’m walking the road or rambling through the grasses, strolling along the beach, experiencing the often stormy weather, feeling the wind or the stillness of the air. I become immersed in this world I’m creating; living in this world,” she explains, offering insight into her profound connection with the landscapes she portrays. I truly believe that artwork should be unique, an artist puts their heart and soul into every piece, how can that be replicated - and with that philosophy I shall never have prints made from any of my artworks.
Lucinda's artwork has been showcased in a wide array of exhibitions, both solo and group, across the Gold Coast and Melbourne, allowing her to connect with diverse audiences. Her works grace collections around the world, extending from England to America, and her pieces have been placed in prestigious institutions such as Parliament House and The Treasury in Canberra. Public spaces, including the Gold Coast Council Public Library and Gold Coast Marine Rescue, proudly display her works, enriching the cultural landscape of the community.
In addition to her exhibition success, her artwork has garnered attention from the entertainment industry, with notable appearances in the Netflix movie True Spirit, illustrating her versatility as an artist. Furthermore, she has been recognized as a Dream Home artist for Channel 7 in 2024, further solidifying her standing in contemporary art. Many of her artworks showcased on platforms like Bluethumb are exclusive, providing art collectors and enthusiasts a special opportunity to explore and acquire her unique creations, preserving her distinct style and voice within the art community for years to come. Lucinda Leveille’s commitment to her craft and her ability to weave stories through her artwork make her a remarkable figure in the world of contemporary art, one who continues to inspire and captivate audiences everywhere.
