Artwork Description

Emergence is a 50 x 50 cm square painting, framed in rich oak, and part of the Exploring The Solitary. The sky dominates the upper portion of the canvas, a luminous green that evokes a sense of wonder and tranquility. Vivid highlights dance across the clouds, creating a dynamic contrast with the deep, radiant hues of the sky, hinting at the energy of a long-awaited spring.

Below, a vast expanse of grassland stretches across the canvas, painted in soft, undulating strokes that suggest movement and life. The grass shimmers with shades of soft reds with pink undertones, reflecting the light from above. This gentle terrain leads the eye toward a focal point—a majestic twisted gum tree, its gnarled branches reaching skyward.

This tree, adorned with vibrant new green growth, stands as a symbol of resilience and renewal. Its twisting form adds a sense of character and depth, and the fresh leaves catch the light, glowing with vitality against the contrasting backdrop of the grassland.
