Artwork Description

Moon Shadows, a night cloud painting explores the quiet beauty of moonlit clouds drifting across an evening sky. A single luminous cloud hangs above still water, its soft reflection dissolving into the darkness below.

Painted in layered blue-green tones, the work captures that fleeting moment when daylight has disappeared but the landscape still holds the last traces of light. The expansive sky and calm water create a sense of distance and quiet contemplation, inviting the viewer to pause within the stillness rather than simply observe it.

Living With This Painting
With its deep teal palette and luminous moonlit sky, Moon Shadows a night cloud painting, brings a sense of calm and quiet reflection to a room. The atmospheric blues complement contemporary, coastal, minimalist and Hamptons interiors, while the gentle contrast between light and darkness creates a peaceful focal point that reveals different moods as the light changes throughout the day.

Framing
This painting is professionally framed in natural oak, complementing the cool evening palette and arriving ready to hang and enjoy.

Authenticity & Shipping
Your painting is accompanied by a signed Certificate of Authenticity and is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely at its new home.

Artist Bio

Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.

Working primarily in oils, Lucinda creates original landscape paintings shaped by memory, light and the quiet tension of changing skies. Her work often features clouds, trees, open land, distant roads and weather-filled horizons, sitting somewhere between realism and abstraction.

A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Lucinda has painted for many years and has exhibited widely, with work held in private collections across Australia and overseas. She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.

Her paintings are created as one-of-a-kind originals, with no prints or reproductions. Each work is developed slowly through layers of oil paint, colour, atmosphere and feeling, offering collectors a quiet place to arrive within the landscape.
