Quiet Light is an original oil painting on canvas, 50 x 50 cm, framed in oak. This contemporary landscape explores stillness and the quiet moments of transition that exist between day and shadow, calm and movement. A single crimson tree stands grounded in open space, beneath a vast sky brushed with pale, drifting cloud. I painted Quiet Light as a meditation on presence — the calm that settles when you stop to notice the stillness around you. This work continues my exploration of resilience and solitude within the Australian landscape, where light defines emotion as much as place. It’s about the strength in standing quietly, and the beauty that exists in moments between.
