Artwork Description

A lone tree stands in quiet defiance under a sky caught between peace and upheaval. The golden light spills through a break in the storm clouds — a fleeting promise, a breath before the world shifts. The tree, with its autumn crown of crimson and gold, represents endurance and grace in the face of inevitable change. It draws strength from solitude, rooted deeply in the earth as the sky trembles above. Framed in natural oak, the work captures a balance of fragility and resilience — a reminder that stillness often comes just before transformation.

This piece would be most at home in a space that welcomes reflection : a living room with natural light, a serene bedroom, or a hallway where the viewer can pause and take it in slowly. It pairs beautifully with soft, neutral tones and organic textures, letting its light and depth transform the atmosphere of the room.

Artist Bio

Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.

Working primarily in oils, Lucinda creates original landscape paintings shaped by memory, light and the quiet tension of changing skies. Her work often features clouds, trees, open land, distant roads and weather-filled horizons, sitting somewhere between realism and abstraction.

A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Lucinda has painted for many years and has exhibited widely, with work held in private collections across Australia and overseas. She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.

Her paintings are created as one-of-a-kind originals, with no prints or reproductions. Each work is developed slowly through layers of oil paint, colour, atmosphere and feeling, offering collectors a quiet place to arrive within the landscape.
