Softly The Sunset Came by Lucinda Leveille is a small landscape falling into the 'exploring the solitary' series.
I have used a technique with this piece called sgraffito which means scatching - so I have scratched into the paint to reveal the layers beneath, rather an interesting effect. It is painted on linen rather than canvas and is a board which will require framing.
"Softly the evening came with the sunset" - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. I just adored this line from Longfellow - how gentle.
If you love this piece but it doesn’t quite suit your space, I would be delighted to work with you to produce an artwork that will suit you and your home, I enjoy commissions and it’s always great to know that this is something uniquely yours. You can now email me directly, straight to my inbox and we can discuss what you would like.
The paintings are signed on the front with my name ‘Lucinda’ and painted round the edges, they also come with a Certificate of Authenticity. I only use Artist quality materials in the creation of my artwork .
The piece will arrive cocooned in bubble wrap and packed within a sturdy cardboard container, sometimes recycled ( I do like to recycle when I can!), any glass will be taped to help prevent breakage, I am still losing the war with the tape machine so the package may not be the prettiest on the outside but the contents will arrive safe and sound.
