The concept of solitude has long been a central theme in my work, evoking a rich and complex spectrum of emotions. It is not merely the absence of companionship, but a profound engagement with oneself. This new series, Solitary Horizons an extension of Exploring The Solitary, represents a further exploration of this journey — an extension of my ongoing dialogue with landscape, light, and the human spirit, inviting viewers to delve even more deeply into the inner worlds that have inspired my art for years. In Solitary Horizons, solitude is portrayed as a sanctuary for creativity and clarity. These Australian landscape paintings offer spaces where thoughts can roam freely, where the outside world’s chaos fades, and we are left to confront our innermost feelings. The series illustrates how quiet reflection can become a source of strength, insight, and personal growth, transforming isolation into an opportunity for understanding and renewal.

Songs of the Skyfield carries the rhythm of horizon and sky. Above, luminous green-gold clouds gather and dissolve, their shifting forms suggesting whispers, echoes, and the quiet song of atmosphere itself. Below, the strength of a bold red tree and the unwavering horizon anchor the composition, holding balance between movement and stillness.

This painting tells a story of harmony: of how fragility and endurance co-exist, and how beauty can be found in the threshold between them. A contemporary Australian landscape in oil, it speaks in the language of colour and space, sky and earth. Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.

Working primarily in oils, Lucinda creates original landscape paintings shaped by memory, light and the quiet tension of changing skies. Her work often features clouds, trees, open land, distant roads and weather-filled horizons, sitting somewhere between realism and abstraction.

A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Lucinda has painted for many years and has exhibited widely, with work held in private collections across Australia and overseas. She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.

Her paintings are created as one-of-a-kind originals, with no prints or reproductions. Each work is developed slowly through layers of oil paint, colour, atmosphere and feeling, offering collectors a quiet place to arrive within the landscape.
